Berry, kiwifruit and yoghurt smoothie

Frozen berries are convenient when fresh fruit is expensive or out of season. This makes one large smoothie, which can also be divided into two smaller glasses.

Serves or makes: 1–2

Ingredients

  • 40 g raspberries
  • 40 g blackberries
  • 1 peeled kiwifruit
  • 150 g lactose-free yoghurt
  • 100–150 mL cold water
  • 10 g chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Method

  1. Place the fruit, yoghurt and 100 mL water in a blender.
  2. Blend until the fruit is broken down, then add the chia and lemon juice. Blend again briefly.
  3. Leave for two minutes, then adjust with extra water. Serve cold. Blackberries and larger fruit combinations may not suit a low-FODMAP plan; adapt with your dietitian.
