No-churn vanilla ice cream
A freezer dessert made with lactose-free dairy ingredients. Choose products specifically labelled lactose-free rather than assuming homemade lactase treatment removes every trace.
Serves or makes: 8 small servings
Ingredients
- 300 mL lactose-free whipping cream
- 400 g lactose-free sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Method
- Chill the ingredients before starting. Whip the cream until it holds soft peaks.
- Fold the condensed milk and vanilla through gently, preserving as much air as possible.
- Transfer to a covered freezer container and freeze for at least six hours.
- Stand briefly before scooping. Contains milk protein; lactose-free condensed milk availability varies, so check the label carefully before buying.
